On 1st July, Thailand lifts all restrictions due to lockdown, as we have had no local transmission of the virus for nearly a month. It’s strange to go back to ‘normal’, especially while the rest of the world are at such different stages.
This weekend I went with Fox (my partner) and some friends to a small Thai island. It was quiet and beautiful, and we felt more relaxed than we have in months. It was helpful to clear my head some to get my writing juices flowing again. We swam, did some acro on the beach (slow progress, but it’s happening!), hung out and chatted with friends and each other. I love that after four years Fox and I still never run out of things to talk about. I wish the same for all my heroes and heroines!
Cara and the Hacker is progressing, albeit slower than I wish (isn’t that always the case?!) and I am enjoying writing Cara and Archer’s story. They’re both used to being the one in control, so working out how to let someone else lead in their relationship sometimes is an interesting challenge for each of them. I’m excited for you to meet them! The other day research included volcanoes, private jets, and trigonometry, so it’s taking me to some interesting places.
Unsurprisingly perhaps, Thailand is one of the key locations in The Energetics Series, and I love exploring this wonderful country so I can bring it to life for you, my readers, in the books.

In other news, my comfort reading continues, and I’m in the middle of working my way through all the Patricia Briggs books, both the Alpha and Omega series (which I adore), and the Mercy Thompson series. Highly recommended if you haven’t tried them.
